Martian Liturgy
Martian Liturgy
Crimson dust, anoint my wheels,
Beneath the amber heavens, unseen seal.
A rover’s hymn, ancient in flight,
Across this desert, bathed in golden light.
Steel sinews trace the ridges,
Bones of rock and time’s cold bridges.
Here, chiaroscuro shapes the land,
A touch of shadow, where stars command.
Mountain whispers, soft and grave,
In the silence, echoes save,
From earth to sky, dusk to dawn,
Mars sings the song of life withdrawn.
I roll, a pilgrim, blessed by fire,
Through warm-toned realms of lost desire.
In light and dark, I claim my quest,
The cosmos cradles me, at rest.
