Ode to the Inner spark

Ode to the Inner Spark

O hark, ye soul, long lost in shade,
Where innocence and dreams doth fade.
Yet in thy breast, a spark doth bide,
Thy tender self, thy truth to guide.

Embrace the child, so pure, so bright,
Whose laughter fills the halls of night.
Though years have wrought thee stern and cold,
In youth’s warm glow, thou'lt find thine gold.

For 'neath the veil of time’s cruel hand,
Doth lie a soul both free and grand.
In tender grace and simple glee,
Thine essence calls, “Return to me.”

Awake, ye child, from slumber deep,
No more in shadows shalt thou weep.
Thy heart, thy voice, thy joy unfeigned,
In thee, the truth hath long remained.

So seek thee not in world’s disguise,
Nor bow to folly’s fleeting prize.
For in thy core, thou art divine,
Embrace the child, and thou art thine.
