Of Dawn' Nectar

Of Dawn’s Nectar

Lo, the sky in its azure mantle spread,
Thine eye dost trace the wine of daylight fed.
In glass most fair, the sun doth meet its rest,
Where dusk and drink in union are blest.

Oh how the amber light doth softly pour,
Through crystal gates, a dream forevermore,
‘Twixt heavens high and earth below it gleams,
A mirror of both waking and of dreams.

Behold, yon cup, its brim with light be crowned,
And liquid gold doth whisper without sound,
The hour wanes as twilight sighs farewell,
Yet leaves in thee a tale of time to tell.

So sip thee slow the nectar of the sun,
Before the stars their endless dance begun.
For in this glass, the fading fire holds sway,
And with the night, the glow shall drift away.
