The Winding Path at Twilight (nature series part 3)

Upon this winding path, a tale unfolds,
Where ivy clings to walls in verdant bolds,
The eve hath cast its quiet amber hue,
Whilst twilight bids the daylight's swift adieu.

The crooked wires doth hum a silent song,
In shadows deep, the street doth stretch along.
A humble road where whispers of the night
Entwine with leaves and flickering streetlight.

O ancient stones, ye silent sentinels,
Where time, in passing, carves its parallels,
Thy narrow way doth bear the foot of time,
Whilst stars above, like poets' words, do climb.

Here, in the stillness, beauty hides unseen,
Beneath the ivy's shroud of evergreen.
A fleeting glimpse of day's retreating light,
Behold, the gentle kiss of coming night.
