EPHEMERAL REVERIE
Ephemeral Reverie
A highway of solitude, silent and vast,
Steel veins stretching toward the past.
A sentry of light stands weary and tall,
Witnessing echoes that rise and fall.
Clouds bloom like whispered dreams,
Bathed in honeyed amber beams.
Soft effigies of fleeting grace,
Drifting through the boundless space.
The sky, a canvas, painted in fire,
Yet cool as dusk, lost in desire.
A transient heart, forever free,
Sculpted in wind, dissolving in sea.
Oh, the heavens weep, yet none shall hear,
The murmurs of time, fragile and clear.
For what is life, if not a haze,
A wisp of gold in twilight’s gaze?
