Stay Little Longer...Stay With Me

Stay a Little Longer, Stay with Me

Stay a little longer, stay with me,
Let time forget its cruel decree.
Hold my hand in the hush of night,
Where silence speaks of love’s last light.

The world may call, the clocks may chime,
But let me steal one more moment in time.
Let me breathe you, just once more,
Before fate drags you from my door.

Stay a little longer, don’t let go,
The stars can wait, they do not know
That in your arms, I find my home,
A place where I am not alone.

Your whispers fade like autumn leaves,
Yet in my heart, your echo grieves.
I trace your shadow in the air,
But find nothing—only despair.

Stay a little longer, say my name,
Before the dawn snuffs out our flame.
Even if love must learn to die,
Let it go with no goodbye.

So linger, love, just one more breath,
Before we bow to time and death.
Stay a little longer, stay with me,
Even if only in memory.
